Niki at Yummy Cakes made our beautiful dream wedding cake recently, it was perfect, it was wonderful to see our plans come to life! Niki was so easy to talk to with regards to design and flavours, she drew sketches for us to vision the cake, sent a sample box of cake flavours to us to try, she responded quickly and was very knowledgeable. She dealt with the set up on the day so it was one less thing to worry about for our wedding! We highly recommend Niki for her fabulous, talented and delicious cakes.

Niki is a star baker. A five star baker to be precise (I would add even more stars if I could). I needed a cake for my mother's 80th birthday party; she lives in Cornwall and I live in Cheshire and with my being unable to travel I was reliant on the internet. With what I now regard as great good fortune I found Yummy at Liskeard and after talking to Niki I knew immediately I had the right person. Niki asked me what theme I wanted and then she was full of great ideas but equally open to my (limited) suggestions. We agreed upon a general idea which Niki then developed into the final cake, see picture. The level of detail in this cake is truly amazing and with lots of links to things that my mother would recognise, from favourite crime authors, 80th birthday cards on the mantlepiece and the Cluedo game on the floor. As others have said Niki's cakes are a work of art and have to be seen to be believed. Niki arranged the cake's delivery directly with the party venue then personally delivered the cake to the venue, which was so helpful and important to me. At the party the cake was definitely the 'showstopper' with many of the party attendees taking pictures just of the cake. My mother thought the cake amazing, exactly the reaction I hoped for. Although I wasn't able to be there I have received a piece and can testify that it tastes every bit as good as it looks, very delicious. If you are looking for a great looking and tasting cake, some help with design and delivery then you really won't be disappointed with Niki who offers the full service and clearly puts her heart and soul into her projects. Niki was fantastic from the point of first contact explaining all the costs up front & allowing me to pick flavours, fillings & finishes. I needed a 50th Birthday cake for my better half who loves Elephants. I gave Niki some basic ideas & left her to let her creative juices flow. The result was absolutely AMAZING!!! We had the pleasure of getting in touch with Niki for our wedding day. Living in London we relied heavily on email and phone calls to discuss what we wanted and she was really responsive throughout. It’s safe to say the cake turned out beautifully and was more than we could have imagined! Our guests ate the vast majority on the night, we only managed to grab the top tier for ourselves and that would have been eaten as well if the venue hadn’t stored it away for us! Delicious. I would highly recommend and will be in touch for any future events that require cake in Cornwall!

What an amazing cake Niki made for my husband's 60th. She included all the special things that made it so unique and special. He was bowled over to see his actual bike!! My son ordered a cake for my birthday today that featured a wraparound view of Padstow harbour. I have never seen such a beautiful cake & it was delicious too! Thank you so much Niki, I couldn’t have been more thrilled!

Not only was the cake Niki made a pure work of art (as many of our friends and family agreed) it was not style over substance (as many cakes can be) as the cake itself was utterly delicious. From the photos of our garden Niki asked me to take first, then she sketched it before adding the little sentimental and precious items that mean so much to my husband and that he has dotted around the garden... everything was perfect and beautiful and all edible....amazing. Again I just wanted to say a massive, huge thank you for designing and producing what was a cake beyond what I could ever have hoped for and helping to make a truly memorable and special day even more special for us all.
